How do you know if you need to get a tutor for your child?
One indicator may be a child that always pretends to be
sick, or makes all kinds of excuses as to why he/she doesn’t
want to go to school. Chances are either they are not being
challenged or they are having a really, difficult time keeping
up. Always keep in mind, tutoring doesn’t always have to
be remedial. Tutoring can involve enrichment as well as test
preparation. Additionally, most people think of tutoring as
remedial to help correct some deficiency. That’s often what
it is involved but the ultimate, goal of tutoring is to create a
self-sufficient student.
Usually, the most obvious indicator that your child may need
tutoring is poor grades on assignments, progress reports
and report cards. Sometimes children attempt to hide these
assignment grades from their parents and they are blindsided when the child brings home a progress report with
poor grades. The reason that progress reports are given out
is to give the student a chance to improve their grades before
report cards are distributed. Most of the time, if the student
is not too far behind, grades can be slightly improved with
the proper amount of tutoring.

Oftentimes, when children are unhappy, it affects their
behavior. They are struggling with their subjects and it’s
frustrating to them causing them to act inappropriately.
Helping students to improve their grades by getting them
tutoring will help to decrease acting out behavior.
Investing in your child’s education by getting them tutoring
is in fact an investment in your child’s future. Education
is the key to developing outstanding citizens who will be
productive members of society.
