Destiny From The Perspective of Focus... Andrew Tate III, Pastor When it comes to being great in business, relationships, finances, etc., it’s never a problem with getting started, but the problem, at times, resides in the tendency of getting out of focus. In the process of dealing with everyday life, there are times we will allow unnecessary distractions to invade our space. In some way or another, we’ve made ourselves believe it requires our immediate attention. It’s in those times we spread ourselves so thin; we really neglect our true purpose. One thing that causes us not to be as focused as we ought to be is other people. I like to call this the Super Hero complex. We’re so busy trying to be everything for everyone else that we lose our focus on the important tasks at hand. If we’re not careful our opinions about what we should be doing and where we are in life can be so influenced by other people, we can lose the ability to ever be satisfied or accomplish anything. You can also be taunted by comparing yourself to other people’s success. It’s then you can become intimidated by trying to achieve something that’s contrary to your vision, and what wasn’t designed for you. God will only promote you to the level of your tolerance of pain. He will not promote you into an area where you are not designed to withstand the weight of pressure of the assignment. Know your lane and be great at it, and don’t settle to be a copycat when you’re a created great original. Some may be doing what you’re doing, but there’s a select group of people who you’re assigned to be a blessing to. One of our biggest problems in society today is we never stick to anything long enough to master anything. At the first sign of resistance, we’re ready to throw in the towel. You see, greatness isn’t achieved after you’ve accomplished a goal. It’s accomplished in practice preparing for the game. Game time is when the greatness is exhibited for the rest of the world to see. God never gives us a finished product. He’s creative and He’s downloaded creativity in us, so He expects us to create something out of the raw material He’s placed before us. God gives us the power to get wealth, so maximize that precious gift. Get a sustained focus to create the best life possible for you, and those who come in contact with you. Remember this; potential not maximized is a wasted gift, so get focused, and watch you produce results you never thought imaginable. Much Love, Andrew Tate III, Pastor Integrated Worship Center
