Motivation & Inspiration: The 100 | 100 Program
Welcome back exceptional readers! A few months back you embarked on a journey to understanding how to Master Your Days. In Volume 3 Issue 1 of the IBA Success Magazine you read about my story and how I was able to transform my life in the matter of days. Since launching that issue I have received tremendous feedback and appreciation from people all over the country! I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn about the first three steps of a daily system I put into place in order to completely transform my days. Now I would like to share with you the next steps and look forward to your continued success!
Before you continue I’ d like to refresh the few rules I put into place on the last article. First everything I write and teach are my opinions based off of my own personal results, if you choose to follow my steps please understand that it is your choice to do so and it’ s your ability to decide that makes all the difference. Second I do not guarantee success, but teach that after you decide, then commit all you need is massive action in order to increase your likelihood of success significantly! Third please do not judge yourself for what you have not accomplished. I will judge you, we don’ t need to judge each other, let’ s focus on the future successes starting with today. And finally, the steps and content to follow are tools written specifically for you, but they are only words. After reading this I strongly advise you to take massive action towards your success by continuing your personal growth through education and staying connected with me and others like-minded influencers. These steps are abbreviated and meant to be interactive so take that pad and pen back out and let’ s get going!
Step 4: Legal Pad & Pen. In one sentence, what do you believe is the # 1 tool for success? Write down your answer and add your reasoning on why you think so? Now let’ s focus on the power and perception of writing! Take for example you are at a nutrition shop and you see three people sitting at tables all looking like they are doing some sort of work. You are unsure whether it’ s for a job, class, or project. As you go up to order your shake you glance around at the threepeople sitting and see the first person with a laptop, typing away. The second has their cell phone in their hand with the laptop screen on, texting away. The last has a legal pad and pen with 2 columns written out in detail and their cell phone on the side with a constant focus between the pad and the laptop screen. Who do you believe from your perception is doing something more important? Now all of them may be doing equally important tasks and assignments but only one is perceived to be doing something more important. The one with the legal pad and pen out. That’ s the power of perception! Let’ s not use elementary tools for success like index cards, crayons, and sticky-notes. Instead utilize the Legal Pad & Pen as your ally as you forget your success driven creates, must-dos, and to-dos!
Step 5: Life Interruptions & Excuses. Life Interruptions happen dozens of times throughout the day! These look like- Urgent text messages, phone calls from family requiring your time and attention, getting a flat tire, etc.
As you progress throughout the day be sure to determine what type of interruptions they are when they occur. Are they a create, must-do or to-do? Simply put if there is an interruption that occurs that’ s a create or must-do, write it down and take care of it! Once it’ s completed, cross it out and continue your day. If it’ s a to-do type of interruption and you allow those to take up time and attendance, you’ ll end up having lower results that day and your self-valued score will drop further away from 100. The goal is to keep up with exactly how your day is supposed to go based on how you planned it the night before. Now let’ s look at excuses. What are the top 3 excuses you tell yourself daily? Write those down and ask yourself what are the consequences when those excuses get the best of you? There is one simple tool to overcome all excuses in life, but before I tell you the tool, you must commit to utilizing it with force, enthusiasm, and conviction! Are you ready? Write it down! OPPOSITE. That’ s right thinking and acting upon the opposite of an excuse will break through the excuse! Keep in mind, your goal is to have a 100 | 100 day, so make sure to handle life interruptions and overcome excuses before they get the best of you!
Step 6: Association of Extremes. There are two extremes to live present in life. The easy and the difficult. The failure and the success. The path least taken and the path most taken. The 1 and the 100. If you were to pick an extreme to live in on a day to day basis, which would it be? Write your answer down. Now let me ask you what are you risking by living in your current state? What successes like- love, income, time, health, reputation, family, etc. are you missing out on by not living in a state closer to 100? A majority of people in society today live in what is called the“ modern day zombie” effect. It’ s essentially where they coast along their days half awake and half asleep, not really having passion or knowing what they want to do in life! I know because back in 2015 I was there! I gained 30 pounds and had no strong sense of direction or purpose! If you had the chance to snap out of this effect by simply focusing on creating the days of your dreams, thus turning the life of your dreams into a reality, would you, do it? YES. Write down YES. Now commit that you will re-read my first article on the 100 | 100 Program- Mastering Your Days on page 49 and 50 on the first issue of Volume 3 of the IBA Success Magazine!
