CHARITY CORNER n SHAKERS & MOVERS
Local Resident’s Near Death Experience Leads Him and
His Committee to Host the Largest Black and White Weekend
for Charity and Wellness in the World – May 11th
O
rlando, FL – I’m in. Events and
BASE Camp Children’s Cancer
Foundation are gearing up to
host over 800 supporters from
all over Central Florida and beyond.
The event will span across two days and
one incredible night at the Rosen Plaza
to celebrate life and a great cause while
promoting wellness year-round and below
is the reason why.
Black and White Weekend was first
envisioned in an ICU hospital bed in 2000
when a near fatal case of pneumonia almost
took Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and UCF
Hall of Famer Heissam “I’m in” Jebailey’s
life away. Immediately prior to his miracle
surgery that cured him, he envisioned Black
and White colors and making it out alive to
host a big event for family and friends while
giving back to the community.
“It was the most trying time in my life but
thanks to God, my family, friends and great
doctors at the time, I’m still standing today.
Ever since then I wanted to host an event
so big that anyone could come to forget
about their daily problems and stresses
while having fun, living life to the fullest and
rem inding them to take care of themselves
daily. It took me until 2010 to get it started
but now the true story behind it is being
told,” said Heissam “I’m in” Jebailey.
“BASE Camp depends on community
partners to help raise awareness and
much-needed funds to continue our
ongoing programs,” said Terri Jones-
Robbins, President of BASE Camp. “The
Annual Black and White Weekend pro-
vides vital support and we are truly
honored to continuously be selected for
such a meaningful and prominent event!”
Presented by I’m in. Events, The 9th Annual
