4. Reinvention Isn’t Replacement.
Reinvent your family; don’t replace it. Reinvent your
marriage; don’t replace it. Reinvent (refresh) your faith
and spirituality; don’t forsake it. Reinvent yourself; don’t
lose yourself. Reinvention will require you to lose some
friends and gain ones that support the more authentic
version (reinvention) of yourself. Some associations do
need to change. The key is knowing what to reinvent and
what to replace. I assure you most people get this
completely backwards, and the reinvention is a colossal
failure.
You have probably heard the saying, “This is an idea whose
time has come.” Well, I say your time has come. It is time
for you to rise up, allow yourself to be transformed, and
exercise the boldness and greatness within you. Not for
yourself—but for the world—for those who will be inspired
by your journey and courage…for those who have not said
“yes” to themselves yet. Say, “yes” to who you were meant
to be. We are waiting.
